As part of our ongoing commitment to Indigenous Education, the Board of Directors were fortunate to receive presentations from AFN and National Chief Perry Bellegarde. The CSBA has offered our full support to the AFN and its initiatives in education. We are pleased to be working closely with the AFN, including having representation at the CSBA board table from their organization. CSBA PARTNERSHIPS Partners Assembly of First Nations The CSBA is fortunate to work with many organizations in the support of public education and student wellness. Featured in our 2018-2019 Annual Report are three very important organizations: The Assembly of First Nations, the National School Boards Association, and EdCan. National School Boards Association The National School Boards Association has been connected to the CSBA for many years. With similar mandates, both of our organizations are dedicated to the support of public education governance. Through this partnership, both organizations are able to connect with each other and our members to adovacte for public education and to learn from one another. This year a number of school board trustees from Canada attended the NSBA conference, including representation from CSBA. We look forward to seeing each other at national events and value the connections we have made.
