b'CSBA in Nova Scotia & New BrunswickIn November, 2022, the board of directors held meetings in Atlantic Canada.While in Halifax, Nova Scotia andFredericton, New Brunswick members met with various groups and government officials to discuss public education and democratic representation. In Nova Scotia members met with multiple groups and education partners to discuss shared priorities and theconcerns associated with an absence of governing school boards for the English public education system. Members met with representatives of the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial, the Delmore Buddy Daye Learning Institute, Mikmaw Kinamatnewey, and the Deputy Minister and Associate Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development. In New Brunswick they held meetings with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education and Early ChildhoodDevelopment, the Three Nations Education Group, Inc., and la Fdration des conseils dducation duNouveau-Brunswick. The board of directors were very grateful to the organizations and individuals who made time for meetings. We look forward to working with groups in Atlantic Canada moving forward.
