b'Report to the CSBA Saskatchewan Provincial Highlights July 2024 to June 2025 One-Pager: Education Funding On behalf of the communities we serve, Saskatchewan school boardsare advocating resolutely for sufficient, predictable, and sustainablefunding. There is a path forward that serves all Saskatchewanstudents and considers the reality of todays cost drivers. First, weneed to eliminate the education funding gap. Then, we need a planfor new investment in education. School board priorities include full-time Kindergarten, school nutrition programs, inclusion and classroomsupports. Decisions in education are best made at the local level. SSBA Strategic Plan Renewal Renewal of the Strategic Plan through member, staff and partner engagement began in2023. The renewed strategic plan for the SSBA is a five-year plan 2025-2030 to align withthe Provincial Education Plan. In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, operating on treaty territoriesand the Mtis homeland, the work of the SSBA and its member boardsremains deeply rooted in the belief that every child in Saskatchewan,regardless of where they live or their personal circumstances, musthave the resources and supports they need to achieve and succeed. School Food A project led by the SSBA to expand school food infrastructure has been approved toreceive $1 million in funding from the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada School Food Infrastructure Fund.The governments of Saskatchewan and Canada havesigned an agreement under National School Food Program. The SSBA andThe Mosaic Company were announced the 2025 Mosaic School NutritionChallenge.Hosted by the SSBA in partnership with the U of S, the Sask.School Food Program Speaker Series has been a timely opportunity todiscuss school food programs. New One-Pagers The SSBA had a Services table set up at the Assembly to share information, provide anopportunity to meet SSBA staff and answer any questions members may have. Information and new one-pagers about SSBA services were also available.These included The Role of Boards, What is the SSBA and what does it do?,and SSBA Services Value for Money. These one-pagers, along with ourAdvocacy one- pagers, are all made available on the SSBA website fordownloading or printing. 69'
