b'2024-2025 Annual Report NSBA 2025Alan Campbell, CSBA president, Darren McKee, SSBA Executive Director and CSBA board member and Nancy Pynch-Worthylake, CSBA Executive Director presented at the 2025 conference of the National School Boards Association (NSBA). In a well-attended session entitled "We\'re in it together: Learning with and from Canadian School Boards, the CSBA team shared strategies to maintain a focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism, particularly during challenging times. Participants showed a keen interest in successes and challenges of the CSBA and its member organizations with the implementation of the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Advocacy strategies to work with and influence the federal government were also highlighted.Feedback from participants was very positive with many attendees noting the refreshing sense ofoptimism they felt as a result of the session. In addition to this break out session, President Campbell addressed the delegates in a plenarysession. His inspiring message was very well received. The decision to attend the event was not made lightly. However, the opportunity to focusinternationally on the importance of locally elected democratic voices proved to be veryworthwhile.9'
