b'2024-2025 Annual Report Comprehensive School Health Work TeamThe Comprehensive School Health (CSH) Committee continues to make progress on each of the CSHgoals. Areas of focus include student substance use, vaping, mental well-being, healthy school food, and social media. The executive director is actively involved in national level initiatives related toeach of the areas. Given the importance of the national school food program this priority washandled as a Committee of the Whole. A key role of the committee has been to identify resources related to health priorities. However, withthe increased availability of online resources, this is no longer needed. Committee members recommended to the Board that comprehensive school health continue as apriority for the CSBA, either as a strategic area, or integrated into other strategic areas. Through this work, governing school boards have been represented when discussing importanttopics such as national healthy school standards, the national school lunch program, and youthmental health initiatives. The CSBA is grateful to sit at many tables with partners such as EdCan, theCanadian Coalition for Healthy School Food, and Physical and Health Education Canada, amongmany others.
