Negotiations update: The 20242025 school year marked the first year of implementation of the collective agreementssigned in June 2024. Significant changes had to be made by school boards, particularly to roll out newcontracts for teachers with special statuses and classroom support personnel. The labour relationsteams at QESBA and CPNCA made continuous efforts to support and guide school boards throughoutthis process. The government imposed a hiring freeze in November 2024. This government initiative places additional strain on a network already facing budget constraints. As of June 6, 266 requests across the entire education network were made: including 34 from the anglophone network. As of June 9, a streamlined process has been implemented at the ministry for exemption request authorizations, which we hope will lead to shorter response times. Renewal of the working conditions for senior staff and senior executive: Negotiations took place after those for unionized personnel. QESBA was present at every stage of this process, which is expected to conclude by the end of the 20242025 school year. 2 67'
