b'The CSBA has actively advanced the priority of anti-racism efforts in our organization. I am proud that the necessary work of our Anti-Racism Strategy has resulted in a number of outcomes which are available on our website. This includes an audit of our policies and a board self-assessment. I encourage everyone to view the materials and see how Trustees can support this work at your local boards. We will continue this work over the next year.In October 2020 and March 2021, we hosted Indigenous Leaders Panels virtually for trustees and education partners. These events featured various Indigenous leaders from across the country who spoke to different education topics. I would like to thank all of our presenters for making themselves available and sharing their experiences and expertise with our membership. Video from the online events is available on our YouTube channel. If you missed the events, please watch these videos! In keeping with the trend of virtual conferences and gatherings, I had the opportunity to deliver remarks and present to multiple associations at their online events. It is always a pleasure to speak with trustees from different provinces, regardless if that is online or in person! Thank you to everyone who invited us to be part of your event. Our Governance Work Team had a large undertaking over the past year, updating our policies and developing Terms of Reference for each CSBA committee. This will help ensure consistent processes throughout the association. Sincere thanks to our Governance Consultant, Judy White, and Work Team Chair, Carolyn Broady, for this work.Once again, thank you for your continued contributions and leadership in service of public education in Canada. I am grateful to our Association Presidents and Executive Directors whose dedication and expertise make it possible for our organization to move forward. Please take some time to review the full Annual Report to see much more that CSBA has accomplished this past year. I wish everyone a healthy and happy year ahead.
