b'Goal: To design the data infrastructure platform and website 1. We have created a new tab on both the CSBA and FNCSF websites to feature updates about our project. 2. On-going meetings with volunteer HR Directors in various school systems to better understand the existing data management systems and identify the variables that would serve them in their tracking and workforce planning. 3. Our data team is narrowing the variables according to what data systems are already tracking, would like to begin tracking or what they need to track. In the end, we believe that the benefits of this project are far-reaching. Having these data will aid in teacher recruitment, immigration, certification and mobility and provide opportunity for benchmarking and comparative analysis between like systems. Our jurisdictions will be supported in their access to federal funding and program-ming and be better able to develop a pool of qualified teachers who are familiar with the needs of Francophone and Second Language learners. Above all, having access to standardized data is essential for human resource planning, improved resourcesharing across Canada and internationally, a stronger voice for French language programming across Canada and allowing more open dialogue among key partners to address challenges and safeguard existing programs.Catherine McCullough moderated the French Teacher Shortage Roundtable in May, 202166'
