b'MESSAGE FROM THE VICE-PRESIDENT - CAROLYN BROADYIts been a great pleasure to serve as Vice-President of CSBA for the past year. Its been a wonderful opportunity to see the continued growth of the organization and the sustained focus CSBA continues to have on important topics such as reconciliation, youth mental health and equity, diversity and inclusion. The collaborative and collegial approach board members bring to the table at CSBA as well as the wide range of perspectives highlights both the diversity and the commonality of priorities our associations bring to the national table. This spring I had the opportunity to participate in nearly a dozen virtual advocacy events with my fellow board members, connecting with MPs, Senators, and senior government staff in Ottawa.Even within the constraints of a Zoom meeting it was powerful to see everyone work together to share our stories and highlight the challenges we face and the issues we need addressed. We were able to lay strong foundations for 2022s event on the Hill and we will be well positioned when we return to Ottawa in the spring.Ive very much enjoyed working with and learning from Laurie. Her laser focus on the importance of democratically elected local boards of education and her grasp of the issues both in Ontario and throughout Canada benefit us all.Lauries ability to identify an issue or an opportunity and to move quickly has helped raise the profile and prominence of CSBA. Nancy Pynch-Worthylakes depth and breadth of experience is also a huge asset to our organization and Im constantly in awe of how much Nancy does to support and to grow CSBA.I look forward to working closely with the Board over the next year as we continue to identify areas of common interest and work to support our associations across the country.RAPPORT DE LAVICE-PRSIDENTE - CAROLYN BROADYCe fut pour moi un grand plaisir de sigerla vice-prsidence de lACCCS pendant la dernire anne.
