2025 National Reconciliation Partnership Award Presented
On behalf of the Canadian School Boards Association and the Underwriters for the Saskatchewan School Boards Association General Insurance Plan, congratulations to the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Boards of Education, Saskatoon Tribal council, and Central Urban Métis Federation Inc. on receiving the 2025 National Reconciliation Partnership Award.
The award was presented at the Saskatchewan School Boards Association Fall Assembly as the 2025 National Trustees Gathering on Indigenous Education & CSBA Congress was held online due to wildfires in Manitoba. In addition to the award, the partners receive $10,000 to further advance their collaborative efforts toward achieving their partnership goals.

L-R: Shirley Isbister, President, Central Urban Métis Federation Inc., Her Honour Bernadette McIntyre, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, Diane Boyko, Board of Education Chair, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, and Alan Campbell, President, CSBA.
The awards presented were designed and crafted by Gisele George, a beadwork artist from the English River First Nation, situated on Treaty 10 territory. Gisele’s beadwork features a striking depiction of a bison, a powerful symbol of resilience and strength. The bison beadwork is a tribute to Indigenous artistry and a unique expression of Gisele’s creative voice.
