Each year the CSBA National Trustees Gathering on Indigenous Education and Congress is held in a different city, hosted by the provincial association. Here you will find a listing of past events, their locations, and their themes.
- 2022 – Saskatchewan School Boards Association
Local Voices, Local Choices: The 2022 conference was held in-person in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Building on their successful “Local Voices, Local Choices” initiative, the Saskatchewan School Boards Association organized an informative program with keynote speakers and workshops that inspired attendees.
- 2021 – Quebec English School Boards Association & Canadian Association of School System Administrators
Equity & Inclusion for student well-being: The 2021 event was held virtually while travel was still limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that didn’t stop the learning! The conference featured multiple keynote speakers and workshops, and was attended by over 400 trustees and senior school system staff.

- 2019 – Ontario Public School Boards Association
Leading today with a vision for tomorrow: The 2019 event was held at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel in Toronto, and featured an incredibly strong lineup for keynote speakers and workshops. Attendees heard from National Chief Perry Bellegard, Kevin Lamoureaux, Dr. Gabor Maté and Brian Woodland, just to name a few speakers!
Annual General Meeting
The Canadian School Boards Association hosts our Annual General Meeting during the National Trustees Gathering on Indigenous Education and Congress. This annual meeting provides an opportunity for the membership to come together to hear from the President, Vice-President, and Board of Directors. Seminars & Conferences
The Canadian School Boards Association hosts in-person and virtual seminars and conferences at different times throughout the year. Often held virtually, these professional development opportunities reflect the priorities of the CSBA and our members. There are no seminars or conferences coming up.
