Shali Baziuk

Shali is honoured to serve as President of the Canadian School Boards Association (CSBA). She is committed to strengthening the national voice of school boards and advocating for policies that support students, families, and public education across Canada. As CSBA President, Shali works collaboratively with member associations and education partners from coast to coast to coast to advance shared priorities and ensure school boards have a strong voice in national conversations affecting K–12 public education.

Shali brings extensive governance and leadership experience to the role. She currently serves as President of the Alberta School Boards Association and is a third-term trustee with Rocky View School Division, which serves communities surrounding Calgary. She previously served as both a Director and Vice President of the Alberta School Boards Association. Her professional background in airport operations, corporate training, and fleet management has further strengthened her expertise in leadership, governance, and strategic planning.

Shali is a passionate advocate for locally elected school boards and public education. She believes that by working together, school boards in Canada can strengthen their communities, share innovative practices, and improve outcomes for students across Canada.
