Renee St. Germain
Renee St. Germain is a member of Rama First Nation in Ontario, and resides on unceded Algonquin Territory in Ottawa, Ontario. As the Senior Director of Social Branch at the Assembly of First Nations (AFN), her primary focus is working in partnership with governments and First Nations communities to help develop culturally and linguistically-relevant education, health, culture, housing and family services that promote the well-being of First Nations communities in Canada. Renee is an educator by trade and holds both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education from the University of Ottawa. Prior to joining the AFN, Renee worked with the urban Indigenous community in early childhood education through the Aboriginal Head Start in Urban and Northern Committees programming.
