Dr. Shawn Davidson

Dr. Davidson was acclaimed as CSBA Vice-President in October, 2025. He became a school board trustee in Saskatchewan in 2009 when he was first elected to the Prairie South Board of Education representing subdivision 5, a position he has held since then.  During his time at Prairie South Shawn has served as vice chair and chair, and in 2016 he was first elected to the provincial executive of the Saskatchewan School Boards Assocation when he became President.  He served as President from 2016 until 2022, at which time he became the Vice President for 2 years.  In 2024 he was once again elected President of the SSBA, and he is currently serving his 4th 2 year term in that position.  Through his involvement, Shawn has worked on several provincial committees and truly believes in the value of collaboration in developing positive outcomes for our youth.

Professionally Dr. Davidson is a large animal veterinarian and together with his partner Melanie operates a cattle ranch in southwestern Saskatchewan.  Shawn and Melanie have a blended family with a total of 8 children and 1 granddaughter.
