Register now-National Aboriginal Trustees Gathering, June 19th-21st in Saskatoon
The Saskatchewan School Boards Association‘s Aboriginal Council is hosting a National Gathering of First Nations and Métis School Board Members in Saskatoon, from June 19th-21st.
The goal of this National Gathering is to share information regarding best practices for engaging First Nations and Métis people in strengthening achievement for First Nations and Métis students.
A sample of presentations include:
- Reflections on First Nations and Métis Achievement (Darren McKee)
- “Strengthening our Voice”-Engaging First Nations and Métis Parents and Community (Karon Shmon)
- Supporting Student Success (Michael Gatin)
The National Gathering will provide many opportunities to discuss and share strategies with colleagues across Canada, and will coincide with National Aboriginal Day on June 21st.
